		WSAD is currently involved in several exciting new projects, they are: • European Social Fund (ESF) EQUAL project called Disability Equals Business • Relaunch of WSAD local groups – see Local Groups section • Development of a Coalition for Independent Living (CIL) – see Changes section Launch of ASKDES disability equipment sales – see Equipment Sales section WSAD is currently in consultation with other West Sussex County Council departments on the following subjects: • Accessible Transport • Road Infrastructure • Website Design • The need for a Disability Equipment Display If you are interested in any of these areas and would like to have your voice heard, please contact Roland Higgins at info@wsad.org.uk or tel no 01903 244 457 Disability Equals Business. WSAD is a partner in the three year ESF project Disability Equals Business. The project seeks to increase the awareness of employers about the benefits of having a diverse workforce. It also seeks to improve the employment opportunities for disabled people by increasing their awareness of the support available to enable them to gain employment and to remain in employment. In November 2005 WSAD held a very successful Conference to promote Employment Equality called Hands Up for Employment Equality. To read about it go to the Newsletter section on this website.
